Our Story


Founded in 2014, Desklight began with the realization that most learning programs were failing the very people they were meant to serve. With a background in design innovation and organizational development, Erin and Chris Huizenga saw an opportunity to bring intention, purpose, and excitement to educational experiences. 

Desklight is now made up of a growing team of learning leaders, strategists, and all around good people. We wake up every day to create learning experiences that spark growth, ignite curiosity, and help organizations and individuals do their best work. By mixing strategic design with learner-centered approaches, we’re on a mission to take learning from a “have to” to a “want to.”
